Food Porn Friday | Milk

Hi!

I know I wrote about this place earlier this month, but I just had to go back because I missed it so much. It's honestly the best ice cream ever.

Coffee Toffee Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich

Vanilla Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich

Red Velvet Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich

I loved the Coffee Toffee ice cream when I got in sandwiched between 2 chocolate chip cookies, but this time I got the pre-made macaron sandwich. I am obsessed with macarons already, so putting the worlds best ice cream between perfectly made macarons is literally heaven.

My brother got the Vanilla one, which is half dipped in chocolate. It was so good that he didn't even share. So, I have no comment on it, but I'm like certain it's amazing.

The Red Velvet one is honestly amazing. What else can I say?

This place is so amazeballs that I can't even. It's a must go whenever you're in the LA area. Even if it is Winter, it's still definitely a place to check out. If you aren't an ice cream fan in general, I still suggest you do go here and try it out because it's so delicious.

However, sometimes there will be a line, but it's definitely worth it. The lines moves pretty quickly though. It also gives you time to look at the menu, the ice cream flavors, and the macaron sandwich flavors (they're pre-made).

Anyways, Thanks for reading! Tell me your favorite ice cream in the comments. Til next time, Bye!

Photo Diary | Canada

On August 9th, I flew to Canada to go see my aunt, uncle and cousin, whom I have not seen for a while. The last time I went out of the country I was two years old and I flew to the Philippines. So, visiting a new country was definitely an experience. Canada was very pretty and I enjoyed myself the whole time. I ate things I haven't had before, experienced different things, and it was such a great trip. What made it such an adventure was that I was accompanied by family. My aunt, uncle, and cousins also flew with us and stayed with us during the trip. We slept in my aunt's spare rooms and we rented a car to accompany all of us. It was such an amazing trip and even though these pictures don't really capture the feelings, it definitely captures the memories.

A Day In The Life | Little Tokyo

Hi!

So, it's Sharlene's birthday, so everybody wish her a happy birthday and follow her while you're at it!

To celebrate, we all surprised her at Shabu Shabuyo, located in Little Tokyo in Downtown L.A. for lunch. She had no idea and was surprised, so it all worked out!

BIRTHDAY GIRL (I hope you don't mind me using this you just look great)

Shabu Shabuyo is a restaurant, which uses the Shabu Shabu cooking technique. Basically, there are pots of boiling water in the center of the table (like KBBQ), and you receive platters of noodles (we got udon), tofu, and various vegetables, like mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, etc), which you cook in the water. Then, we received raw cuts of meat (again, like KBBQ - very thinly slices of meat) and we cooked it in the soup/water. After it's cooked (and it cooks fairly quickly), you then dip the meat or noodles or vegetables or whatever into various sauces, like Ponzu or Sesame Peanut Oil/Sauce whatever it was. It was strange, but it was very delicious and very filling.

Mariah, Noella, Sharlene, and Me

After we finished eating, we ventured into the Japanese marketplace, which was filled with amazing goodies and stores. As you can tell, I love buying sweets, so it was very hard to resist.

Coffee and Chocolate Hazelnut Mochi from Mikawaya
Fresh mochilato. You cannot go wrong. They have a lot of flavors, such as cookies and creme, hazelnut, mango sorbet, etc. Plus, this is the company that makes the frozen mochi that I used to like until something was different with them. They also have gelato and ice cream. These are so addicting, you definitely have to try it.

Bacon Donut from Cafe Dulce

Okay, I did not eat this. It's 2 things I cannot stand: Bacon and Donuts. I know, I'm weird, but I just don't like them. I have such a strong dislike for them. But my brothers love bacon, and donuts, so I thought why not. My other friends bought it and loved it, so I decided I'll get one for my brothers. This little cafe is filled with some amazing looking stuff, such as Mocha Roti, Strawberries & Creme Donuts, Fruity Pebble Donuts, etc.

Panda Pocky - Cookies & Creme

Honestly, I'm not a major fan of pocky and prefer Yan Yan, but this pocky is amazing. I really don't like the "rare Cheesecake" flavor, but you honestly can't go wrong with cookies & creme. And these are rare, so buy them when you see it. PLUS IT'S SO CUTE.

Cookies & Creme Kit Kat

THESE ARE AMAZING OHMYGOD. I have never seen or heard of these before. AND I LOVE KITKAT. I love the regular, the white, the green tea, the orange, the hazelnut and the ice cream, but I've never even heard of cookies & creme kit kat. There were only 2 packages left (at Mikawaya) and I didn't see them at the Nijiya Market, so I was like MUST BUY. And I don't regret them. When I went back to the store to buy more mochi, I noticed the last package was gone. It's definitely a sign.

Kanro Pure Lemon Gummy
REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GO-OD. Ugh. I thought I would never see these again unless I paid an astronomical price. But thank god Noella knew where to get these. Ugh I missed these and was having withdrawls. I should probably go check that out....

Me, Mariah, Sarah, Sharlene, & Kevin
So, after our little exploration of the marketplace, we went out to go hangout at Sharlene's house, which consisted of Jenga and Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

Sarah, Me & Jeff, Sharlene, Mariah
JEFF AND I WERE REUNITED. I named Sharlene's bear Jeff because he looked like a Jeff last time I went over to her house in March/April. And the name has stuck and I'm very happy about that.

Honestly this was great. I've never plated Jenga before so it was hilarious. Probably the best part was Sharlene trying to save the Jenga after it started to topple over.

So yes, that day was a great day, and I'm so glad to be able to call these people my friends.

Thank you for reading, bye!

International Haul | Confections

Hi!

Honestly, what's a good trip without buying food? Especially chocolate? During my trip, I probably ate my weight in chocolate. But these chocolates are so much better than the ones we have in America, which makes me really sad but at least I can spend money on other things.

Canada

Yes, this is a lot but no, I'm not eating it all by myself. I'm not that crazy. But the chocolate is so much better and cheaper in Canada. I just couldn't resist all the chocolate. The Cadbury is so much better in Canada I don't know why. And cookies & creme chocolate bars...should I say more? and Kinder Surprise is actually illegal in America. Apparently. I'm still not fully sure honestly. BUT IT WAS MONSTERS UNIVERSITY LIKE I COULDN'T JUST LEAVE IT. And we do have Kinder Bueno, but like I said, it's much cheaper.

This is what came in the box - God Bless Costco

Kinder Surprise: The Inside

Hong Kong

I love lemons, which is strange according to my friends, but I had never tried a lemon gummy thing before. So I was ecstatic when my friend brought this back for me from Hong Kong. I will say I was hesitant to try it at first, because it would probably be really good or really bad. BUT NOW I'M OBSESSED AND SAD THAT I CAN'T FIND THIS AND AHHH I'M SO UPSET RIGHT NOW. Literally though, I savored each gummy and ugh it's just so good I can't.

Italy

Okay, so, I have never tried this before but it looks so good. I know that there are various types of chocolate, such as milk, bittersweet, praline, etc., so I'm excited. I love trying new chocolate. And it's Swiss, so it's probably amazing.

So, there's all the candy/chocolate I hauled this past month. I am gonna eat all them, but not all at once. I wouldn't be able to fit into any of my clothes if I did.

This concludes my international haul. I want to again thank all my friends who got me something. Thanks For Reading! Leave me a comment below telling me your favorite chocolate or if you just want to chat.

Bye!
