Food Porn Friday | Overload

Hello! It's been such a long time since I've last blogged...oops. So here's a quick and dirty rundown of the food places I've visited these past two weeks! Also, I would like to apologize for some of the pictures, some were taken with my fancy camera and some were taken by an iPhone.

More Than Waffles - Encino

Eggs Benedict with Home Fries

Chilaquiles with Home Fries

Eggs Benedict with Fresh Fruit

Ham and Cheese Crêpe with Home Fries
This is my absolute favorite place for breakfast. It gets incredibly busy (I've waited for two hours for a table once) but for me, it's totally worth it. They have the best and most consistent eggs benedict. It's always perfect every time I order. The home fries are a total knock out, too. I've tried the waffles before and believe me, they're amazing.

Georgetown Cupcakes - West Los Angeles

Clockwise From Top: Chocolate Ganache, Vanilla & Chocolate, Chocolate Ganache, Chocolate & Vanilla, Chocolate 3, Red Velvet
This is the bakery from TLC's DC Cupcakes show. I was a bit apprehensive of the hype because I wasn't sure if it was really good or was just hyped up by publicity. When I was in D.C., i visited the original bakery but the line was terribly long so I didn't try it. Tears.

But honestly these cupcakes are amazing. They nail it every time I visit. The flavors are great and consistent and they don't taste like manufactured cupcakes. But I would've died to try it from the original.

Mendocino Farms - Marina Del Rey & Sherman Oaks

Kurobuta Pork Belly Bahn Mi
This place is officially my favorite sandwich place ever. The layout and design really make you feel like you're eating honest to God straight off the farm, organic food (smart marketing). But when you actually try the food, it is a total mouthgasm. I've never eaten pickled daikon or had pork belly in a sandwich, but it's honestly one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. They also let you try (generous) samples of the salads/sides while you wait. And the soda there is sweetened with natural cane sugar, which makes it taste unbelievably better.

Boba My Tea - Northridge

This place has some pretty impressive boba flavors. Besides the usual milk teas and slushes, they take it one step further with their own specialties, such as "Summer Rain" or "Love Potion". They make amazing boba balls from what I hear, but I don't eat those anyways. The Milk Frost #1 is amazing, and so is there Summer Rain tea. They have great natural & unique flavors that gives Bounce Boba Loft a run for its money.

Snow Piffs - Sherman Oaks

This place was definitely unique and somewhat a hidden gem. It's hidden inside a cake shop/café and the name was only in the window. But it has shaved snow, which isn't a mainstream thing. There's Blockheads in L.A., but it's too far and I don't know how I ended up going here. But it's pretty good, and it's a lot for what you pay. There's also unlimited toppings, such as fresh fruit, popping jellies, assorted froyo-esque toppings, and sauces. It's definitely something if you want a quirky dessert.

And that's it for now! Thanks for reading, byeee!
